Getting Started On My New Life
I've spent most of my adult life overweight. I had tried every diet known to man and played the YOYO game constantly. Well that was my everyday and I had gotten to the point where I just accepted it as the life I was going to live. I even spent six months devoted to getting up at 4:30 a.m. in order to get to the gym by 5:00 a.m. and be slaughtered by the personal trainer who wanted me to lose 30 lbs in 30 days following his plan just to try and even begin a weight loss program. I lost 12 lbs in 6 months and even he seemed frustrated with me. Every workout seemed worse than the previous one and I was constantly in pain. I cried through most of it, and then decided I had to figure out something more to do. I went to the doctor and was eventually diagnosed with Lupus. It helped comfort me that I was not feeling pain for the sake of being a wimp, but none the less something had to change. After meeting with him he suggested that I start trying to lose weight through a dietitian and then look at going back to the gym. I spent hours planning my meals and feeling sorry for myself when I couldn't have that birthday cake, or favorite appetizer. It was so frustrating. Ultimately I had to decide if I was going to continue to be unhappy in pain and fat for the rest of my life, or take control. I opted to take control, but I had no energy, had no desire and no way of moving forward without ultimately finding something to kick start my weight loss without having to spend even more painful hours in the gym.
You need to find what works for you, if my plan doesn't than let me help you figure out what will. I have been on every diet known to man, but it really comes down to the need to STOP DIETING and CHANGE YOUR LIFE, by making small consistent changes. Slowly start adding some physical exercises. Noting too strenuous, but tightening and toning along the way will help in the long run! I am not telling you that I have all of the answers, but I will tell you that if you are looking for someone to go through every step of the way with you, and someone that will provide you encouragement, do research and be there for you every step of the way then you have found your person.
